There are some climbing accessories you think you can do without.
And then there are those you use once… and adopt forever.
That's the case with CLIPMAG. We tested it in the field and, frankly, it's tried and adopted.
A brush always at hand
Brushing holds falls into the category of good practices, much like brushing your teeth.
Bouldering, indoors or on the crag, we use it to clean a hold before an attempt, improve grip, and leave the route clean after our passage.
The problem is that between two brush strokes, you need to put it away somewhere.
Attached to the chalk bag? Often easy to take out, but much less practical to put back.
Attached to the harness with a cord and a carabiner? The carabiner often ends up hitting your fingers when you brush.
Between your teeth? Ugh…
Placed on a ledge? Lol.
That's exactly why we created CLIPMAG.
The principle is simple: a small magnetic system that keeps your climbing brush within reach.
It attaches to the gear loops of your harness and allows you to quickly take out or put away the brush with one hand.
A small click, the brush is stored.
Another gesture, and it's back in your hand.
Since we started using it, we brush much more
Ultimately, the CLIPMAG probably won't help you send your project. It won't give you more strength or better technique.
But it makes the brush so accessible that you end up using it much more often.
For our pleasure… and probably for that of everyone who climbs after us.
At first, we thought it was a practical little accessory.
After a few outings, we realized that we were using our brush much more often than before.
And now?
Frankly, it's hard to go back.
So yes.
Tried and adopted.
And apparently, it's really practical.
How does the 4c+ CLIPMAG work?
The system relies on a powerful permanent magnet that keeps the brush or another small accessory within reach.
The CLIPMAG has two attachment rings and comes with a cord to secure the brush.
The idea is simple: unhook, use, reattach.
No complicated system.
No two-handed manipulation.
Grab. Brush. Click. Go.
What would you use it for?
Originally, the CLIPMAG was designed to keep a climbing brush easily accessible.
But we're curious.
A magnet, an attachment system, and a small accessory always at hand… we're sure some of you will find other uses.
What would you use it for?
Tell us in the comments.
A useful idea, completely useless, or downright absurd: we want to know everything.
