CIVETTA - SOUTH SIDE - ENG
The south face of the Civetta is one of the most complex mountains there is. The massif resembles an immense claw, with three front fingers facing south and one rear finger facing north. The southern approach is the most convenient, with extremely tall walls, vertical structures and towers of compact limestone with an inaccessible-looking appearance. Among the most famous formations are the 700-metre-high Torre Trieste and the 1100-metre-long Busazza ridge, as well as the complex network of the Cantoni di Pelsa and della Busazza. The guidebook offers routes with sunshine, relatively short approaches, free climbing on excellent rock with almost always natural protection, alongside more committing routes on loose terrain and walls over a thousand metres high.
