The guide covers: the Clarée Valley and Vallée Étroite, the Guisane Valley, Briançon, Vallouise, L'Argentière-La Bessée / Ailefroide, La Roche de Rame, Freissinières, the Tramouillon-Saint Crépin Valley, Guillestre, Mont Dauphin, Rue des Masques, Queyras and the Embrunais. The sites presented are often at altitude, with a priority given to north-facing sectors for summer climbing.
