Corsa Alpine Yellow – The ultralight ice axe for technical mountaineering

The CAMP Corsa Alpine Yellow is the latest evolution of the iconic Corsa Alpine. It retains everything that made the original model so popular—its ultralight construction and outstanding versatility—while introducing a redesigned shape and several improvements to maximise performance in the mountains.

It combines an ultra-light 7075 aluminium shaft with a NiCrMo steel head, offering an excellent balance between weight and performance. More effective than a fully aluminium ice axe when snow hardens or ice is encountered, it remains light enough for long alpine routes, glacier travel and ski touring.

Its ergonomic curved shaft improves placements on steeper terrain while remaining highly efficient for traditional mountaineering. The technical pick features a progressive thickness from 4 mm to 3 mm, allowing easy penetration into compact snow and effortless extraction after each placement. The minimalist steel spike provides precise support and improved stability while climbing.

Compatible with both the Trigger Fast Lock and the CAMP Corsa leash (sold separately), the Corsa Alpine Yellow can easily be adapted to suit different mountaineering styles and objectives.

The Corsa Alpine Yellow is designed for mountaineers who want to travel light without sacrificing the security of a genuine steel head. More capable than a fully aluminium ice axe while remaining significantly lighter than a traditional mountaineering axe, it is perfectly suited to alpine routes, glacier crossings and ski touring. In our opinion, it is one of the best weight-to-performance compromises currently available for classic mountaineering.
