The CAMP X-Light Hammer is a technical ice axe designed for mountaineers looking for a lightweight, high-performance and exceptionally versatile tool. Positioned between a traditional mountaineering ice axe and a true technical climbing tool, it performs equally well on major alpine routes, steep couloirs, snow gullies, alpine ice and mixed terrain.

This version features a NiCrMo steel hammer, making it ideal for driving pitons, cleaning cracks and tackling technical routes where a hammer is essential. Its modular head also allows the hammer to be replaced with an adze (Panne) (sold separately), giving the tool outstanding versatility across different mountaineering disciplines.

The curved 7075-T6 aluminium shaft, certified Type T, delivers excellent penetration when used as a walking axe while remaining highly effective for technical placements on ice. Its modular grip, featuring two removable and adjustable hand rests, allows the user to fine-tune handling according to terrain and personal preference.
