Rocca Sbarua is the historic “training gym” of the Piedmontese, one of the first walls in Italy where climbing was conceived as training for the big mountains. This historic Piedmont site was frequented by renowned mountaineers as early as the 1930s, including Gervasutti and Bianciotto. Located on Monte Freidur above Pinerolo, it remains a popular climbing destination, offering granite formations with views over the Turin plain and Monviso.
